Billy Gene Austin

  Funeral services for Billy Gene Austin, 59, were held at 10
a.m., April 27, 1995, at the Homer Rose-Neath Chapel.

  The Rev. Ralyn Parkhill officiated. Interment was in Salem
Cemetery at Athens.

  Mr. Austin died Monday, April 24, at his residence. He was an
oil field driller for Penrod Drilling Company, and a
Presbyterian. He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar
Austin.

  He is survived by his mother, Mary Lizzie Austin of Athens; one
son, Van Gene Austin of Athens; two daughters, Lisa Virginia
Prudhomme of Noble, and Gina Louise Austin of Arkadelphia, Ark.;
two sisters, Faye Woods of Longview, Texas, and Beatrice Sheperd
of Athens; one brother, Albert Austin of Athens; nine
grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
