W. A. Ashing

  W. A. Ashing, 61, of Memphis, Tenn., died Sunday, Sept. 16, in
his residence, at 4 a.m., following a short illness.

  Funeral services were held at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home
Chapel, Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Higgins
officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Amelia Pearl Ashing of
Mitchell; two step sons, Edward Henry, and Roger Lee Henry, both
of Mitchell; two sisters, Mrs. Sue Campbell, and Mrs. Christine
Orr, both of Bastrop, Tex., and his mother, Mrs. Lillie Mae
Ashing, also of Bastrop, Tex.
