Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., May 26, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, with interment following at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The Rev. O. M. Greer officiated. Survivors include his widow, Bonnie Akins of Many; father, James R. Skins Sr. of Polham, Ala.; mother, Dolores Greer Fullerton of Many; sister, Tonya Cowdin of Grand Cane; brother, Billy R. Alger of Logansport; special sister-in-law, Juanita Hughes of Dallas, Texas; special mother-in-law, Linnie Procell Cooper of Baton Rouge; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Carrie Salter, and Annie Mae Greer; and his grandfather, Preston Greer.
