Services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, in the Macune Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Macune Cemetery, under the direction of the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home. Survivors are her husband of San Augustine; four sons, Earl Adkins of Angleton, Ocelee Adkins of Florien, Walter Adkins of Houston, and Jimmy C. Adkins of Freeport; one daughter, Mrs. Sherry Pugh of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Adkins of Kirbyville, and Mrs. Irene Nonis of Cleveland; three step sisters, Mrs. Essie Broth, and Mrs. Merle Souchly, both of Houston, and Mrs. Leona Allen of Beaumont; two step brothers, Cruse Halmark of Rye, and Milard Halmark of Corpus Christi, 15 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
