Mr. Allen Atkins

  Services were conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home
Chapel in Shreveport, for Mr. Allen Atkins, age 73, of Many,
Monday, January 24, 1994, at 2 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Eddie
DeHondt of Summer Grove Baptist Church. Interment was at
Centuries Memorial Park.

  Mr. Atkins entered into rest on Thursday, Jan. 20, at his
residence, after a sudden illness. He was a native, and long time
resident of Shreveport.

  He is survived by his wife Bessie Atkins; one daughter, Janice
Dean and husband David of Shreveport; one son, Allen Atkins and
wife Linda of Shreveport; one sister, Louise Glenn of Blanchard;
one brother, Louis Atkins of Blanchard; one brother, Louis Atkins
of Blanchard; four grandchildren, Michael, and Russell Dean,
Allen, and Brian Atkins; and three great grandchildren, Chris,
Michael, and Harly Atkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces
and nephews.
