Rufus S. Aten

  Rufus S. Aten, 67?, a native of Sabine Parish, died in Hobbs,
New Mexico on Saturday, June 8, following an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held on Monday, June 10. Burial was in the
Prairie Haven Cemetery in Hobbs.

  Aten was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie Aten of Zwolle.

  Survivors include his widow, Beatrice Aten of Hobbs; two
children, Tommy Aten, and Mrs. Archie Cunningham; six sisters,
Mrs. Dewey Murphy, Zwolle; Pearl Jordon, Conroe, Tex.; Mrs. Lois
Hill, Godly, Tex.; Mrs. Ida Russell, California; Mrs. Thelma
Tatum, Converse; and Mrs. Opal Sandifer; two brothers, Woodrow
Aten, Belle Chase; Billie Aten, Indiana; and 6 grandchildren.
