Mike Hudspeth, pastor, officiating. Graveside services followed at 3 p.m. in Union Springs Cemetery near Converse, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Mrs. Adams, a native of Joaquin, Texas, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, 1988 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident to Stonewall for 30 years and was a member of Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her husband, Wilmer R. Adams Sr. of Stonewall; one son, Rev. Robert Adams Jr. of Grand Saline, Tx.; one daughter, Elaine Adams Smith of Shreveport; one sister, Virginia Buchnan of Alaska; six brothers, Norman Stephens of Ruston, Hugh Stephens, Lindsey Stephens, both of Converse, Lavon Stephens of Belmont, A. J. Stephens of Grand Cane, Frank Stephens of Keithville; four grandchildren, Stephanie Adams, Shonda Adams, Johnny B. Smith and Jerry D. Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
