The Sabine Index - Thomas J. Atherton

  21 Oct 1949 - Funeral rites for Thomas J. Atherton, who
passed away at the home of his sister, Mrs. T. J. Lites of Mt.
Zion community Wednesday of last week were conducted at 10 a.m.
Thursday from Mt. Zion Baptist church by Rev. C. C. Pierce,
assisted by Rev. Jack Webb. Interment was under direction
Massingill funeral home.

  Pallbearers were James Lites, Charles Lites, Clayton
McWherter, W. G. Dees, Hardy Lites and Harvey Lites.

  Surviving relatives include; sister, Mrs. T. J.
Lites, Many, brother, Blink Atherton, Duke, Okla., and a large
number of nieces and nephews.
