Mr. Jerry A. Alvey

  Jerry A. Alvey, 74, of Zwolle, died Monday, July 31, 2000, at
Sabine Medical Center in Many.

  Mr. Alvey was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Nevada, and was married to
Nelda Alvey. Mr. Alvey was employed as a freight supervisor.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3, at
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his widow, Nelda Alvey of Zwolle; three sons,
Michael Alvey and wife Frances of Thicket, Texas, Phillip Alvey
of Zwolle, and Jerry A. Alvey (deceased); four daughters,
Stephanie Alvey of Many, Tammy Alvey of Ball, Marilyn Bass and
husband Raymond of Many, and Nita Faircloth and husband Marvin of
Perry, Fla.; 27 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a
host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
