Alford is survived by his widow, Mrs. Eula Mae Alford of Many; three brothers, Roy Alford, Bill Alford, both of Many, and Truman Alford of Linden, Tex.; two sisters Mrs. J. M. Gandy of Many, Miss Bertie Alford of Alexandria; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Alford was a Veteran of World War I, member of Alford Heights Baptist Church, American Legion, V. F. W., and a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years. Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m., in the Alford Heights Baptist Church. The Rev. Earl Marr, and the Rev. Brent Fleming officiated. Burial was at the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Brue Alford, Kenneth Pinsonat, C. B. Funderburk, David Bray, Bill Bolton, Oscar Alford, Charles Alford, and Bert Smith.
