Service were at the Pease chapel church on the Bellvue road with Rev. H. T. Isgitt, pastor Converse Methodist church, officiating. Graveside services were conducted by members of Lowe-McFarlane post of the American Legion, Shreveport. A native of Sabine parish, Mr. Alford is survived by his mother, Mrs. Emma Alford, Many; one son, H. P. Alford, Kinwood, Texas; one sister, Mrs. B. J. Tidwell, Many, and one brother Eugene Alford, Houston, Texas. Pallbearers were S. G. Caughman, Alva Caughman, Gordon Caughman, S. O. Bolware, W. R. Oakes, C. O. Dunnigan, W. W. Taylor and Kenneth Dement.
