Harvey A. Alford

  Mr. Harvey A. Alford of Mt. Carmel, died at the age of 70, on
Friday, Sept. 24, after a short illness.

  Funeral services for Mr. Alford were held Sunday, Sept. 26, at 2
p.m., at Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Interment was at Mt. Carmel
Cemetery. Bro. Bill Wood officiated the services. Services were
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Serving as pallbearers were Mr. Alford's grandsons, Chuck
Pizoni, Anthony and Barry Alford, Dale and Daron Chandler, and
Michael Ledet.

  Mr. Alford's surviving relatives include his wife, Katherine
Alford of Mt. Carmel; one son, H. J. Alford, Houma; three
daughters, Virginia Parkman, Morgan City, Mary E. Robinson, Many,
Mrs. Meriam (Pete) L., Chandler of Mt. Carmel; one brother, Mr.
T. V. Alford, Lake Charles; one sister, Ellen Alford, Mt. Carmel;
two aunts, Leona Powell, Many, Beadie Stoker, Forest Hill; 14
grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and
nephews.
