Henry James Alford

  Henry James Alford died Thursday, May 13, at Highland Hospital
in Shreveport, at 9 a.m., due to a sudden illness. He was 88.

  Funeral services were held Saturday, May 15, at 10 a.m., at
Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Earl Marr
officiating. Interment was at Garden of Memories in Carmi, Ill.,
Monday, May 17.

  Mr. Alford is survived by two sons, James H. Alford of San
Angelo, Tex., and Herman F. Alford of Albany, Ga.; two brothers,
James F. Alford of Houston, Tex., and John J. Alford of Odessa,
Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Zula Belle Dillard of Natchitoches; four
grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
