Bert Alfred officiating. Burial was in St. Anne Cemetery near Allen, La. Mrs. Alford of Robeline, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 1986, in a Coushatta hospital, following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mayfield Alford Sr.; and three brothers, Clyde Tate, and Edgar, and Merrel Alford. Survivors included eight sons, Bide Tate, Mayfield "Slick" Alford, Jerrel, and Elvin Alford, all of Coushatta, Robert Alford of Allen, Albert Alford of El Dorado, Ark., Bill, and Jimmy Alford, both of Shreveport; five daughters, Clara Solice, Doris Pleasant, both of Robeline, Juanita Remedies of Natchitoches, Ann Person, and Addie Wood of Coushatta; 49 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
