Laurence "Pete" Alford

  Funeral services for Mr. Laurence "Pete" Alford, 65, of Many,
were held at 4 p.m., on Thursday, November 30, at the Pilgrim
Rest Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Pilgrim Rest
Cemetery. Rev. E. E. Walker officiated.

  Mr. Alford passed away at the Sabine Medical Center in Many, on
Tuesday, November 28.

  He is survived by his wife, Helen Alford of Many; two daughters,
Diana Prevou of El Campo, Texas, and Ann Carroll of Wharton,
Texas; three sons, Terrel Alford of West Columbia, Texas, Bobby
Alford of Boling, Texas, and Jimmy Alford of Wharton, Texas; his
mother, Hazel Timm of Hallettsville, Texas; six grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
