Truman Varnell Alford

  Services for Truman Varnell Alford, 63, were held at 1 p.m.,
Wednesday, December 5, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Bro. Francis
Larocque officiated. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Alford died Tuesday, December 4, at 8:10 a.m., at his
residence, following a lengthy illness.

  Survivors include his wife, Jean Alford of Lake Charles; one
son, Robert Alford of Lake Charles; one daughter, Susan Mitchell
of Florien; and one sister, Ellen Alford of Florien; and two
grandchildren.
