Mrs. Lou Ellen Alford

  Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Ellen Alford, 75, of Florien, were
held at 2:30 p.m., May 8, in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, with the
Rev. Carl Tubbs, and Rev. Earl Marr officiating. Burial was in
Fender Cemetery, with Warren Meadows Funeral Home in charge.

  Mrs. Alford died suddenly in Florien, May 6. Survivors are one
daughter, Miss Ellen Alford of Florien; two sons, Harvey A.
Alford of Florien, and Truman V. Alford of Thibodeaux; two
sisters, Mrs. Walter Stoker, and Mrs. Leona Powell, both of Many;
5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
