Doctor O. R. Alford

  Last rites for Doctor O. A. Alford, age 82, who died May 20, was
conducted at Shady Grove Methodist Church near Bellwood at 4
p.m., May 21, with Rev. Oliver Roberts, and Rev. Monroe Roberts
officiating. Interment was in Shady Grove Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Ray, and Rile Alford, Ray Leach, Leroy Fenter,
Buddy Wilson, and Julian Headley.

  Survivors are four sons, Harold Alford of U.S. Army, W. J., and
Wallace Alford, both of Houston, Maurice Alford of Wilmar, Texas;
three daughters, Mrs. Winnie Fenter of Baytown, Texas, Mrs.
Camille Wilson of Florien, Mrs. Sibyl Headley of Schulenburg,
Texas; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren; one brother,
Lawrence Alford of Leesville.
