Alexander Services were conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport, for Mrs. Lucille J. Alexander, 76, of Gloster, Thursday, May 18, 1995, at 10 a.m. Officiating was the Rev. Ron McClellan of Gloster Baptist Church, where Mrs. Alexander was a member. Interment was at Centuries Memorial Park. Mrs. Alexander entered into rest Tuesday, May 16, at Willis-Knighton North. Mrs. Alexander was a native of Converse, and lived in Gloster since 1954. She was a registered nurse at area hospitals for 40 years, before retiring. Survivors include two brothers, Earl "Casey" Jones of Converse, and Fred Jones of Baytown, Texas; three grandchildren, Michael Todd Mynes and his wife Chantel of Gloster, Bradley Corris Mynes, and Shelly Ann Mynes, both of Keatchie; one step granddaughter, Lynn Adams of Benton. Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her husband, Carey Alexander in 1986, and her first husband, Ivan Corris Mynes Sr.; and her only son, Ivan Corris Mynes Jr. Pallbearers were Charles Burford, Greg Howe, Richie Burford, Thomas Dowden, Gerald R. Dowden Sr., and Hall Burford.
