(Al) Allison, 74, of Leesville, were held Saturday, April 5, 1997, in the chapel of Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home. The Revs. Wallace Palmer, Bobby McCullough, and Micky White officiated. There was an Eastern Star Service by Esther Chapter #26, order of the Eastern Star, and Masonic Services conducted by Worshipful Grand Master of the State of Louisiana, Roy B. Tuck, and the Leesville Masonic Lodge #240 F&AM, in the funeral home, following the service. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home of Leesville. Mr. Allison died Thursday, April 3, at his residence. He was a native of Leesville. He had served in the Navy Seabee's 66th Battalion, a member of V.F.W. Post #3106, Past Master of Leesville Masonic Lodge #240, Vernon Chapter #51, Fullerton Council #26, Rhodes Commandry #17, Past Patron of Esther Chapter #26, Order of the Eastern Star, and Past President of United Travel of America, and a 1939 graduate of Leesville High School. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leesville, and retired from the retail lumber business. He is survived by his widow, Gladys Stockton Allison of Leesville; one son, Dorsey Allison of Wisconsin; two daughters, Judith Avery of Midland, Texas, and Vicky White of Lake Charles; his mother, Jessie Lea Allison of Leesville; one brother, Alton Allison of Moss Bluff; two sisters, Edith Ramsey of Texas, and Eva Grand of Mississippi; 15 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
