Myrtle Allen

  Funeral services for Myrtle Allen, 60, of Shreveport, were held
Wednesday, April 24, at 11 a.m., in Spring Ridge Church, near
Pleasant Hill, with Rev. H. L. Peacock of Mansfield officiating.
Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, near Pleasant Hill.

  A native of Pleasant Hill and a Shreveport resident for 28
years, Miss Allen died Monday, April 22, at 2 a.m., in her home,
following a long illness. She was a member of First Presbyterian
Church of Shreveport.

  Survivors include two brothers, Travis Allen of Jewett, and
Thurman Allen of Houston, Tex., and two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn
Preston of Shreveport, and Mrs. Carrie Mae McNiel of Jewett, Tex.
