Allen, 68, of Robeline, were held on Monday, Jan. 5, at 10 a.m., at Robeline Baptist Church, with the Rev. Percy Tibbitts, the Rev. Oliver Prothro, and the Rev. Thurman Williams officiating. Masonic graveside rites were performed at Cedar Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Allen died on Saturday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m., following an extended illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Allen of Robeline; 3 sons, Ray Allen of Vivian, John P. Allen of Longview; 3 daughters, Mrs. Dottie Garrett of Shreveport, Mrs. Patsy Ann Teer of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Millie Lynn Withers of Natchitoches; 3 brothers, J. B. Allen of Robeline, and Marvin, and Woodrow Allen, both of Blanchard; 4 sisters, Mrs. Beulah Cummings of Shreveport, Mrs. Aromile Priest of Shreveport, Mrs. Helen Rigdon of Coushatta, and Mrs. Ellen Edwards of Harrisburg, Ark.; 13 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sonny Allen, Greg Allen, Ted Allen, Aubrey Mitchell, Roger Dale Allen, and Dan Allen.
