  Services were held for Mrs. Myrtle Ott Allen, 86, at 10:00 a.m.,
Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Spring Ridge Baptist Church. Officiating
were Rev. Ed Fenton, and Rev. Kenny Martin.

  Mrs. Allen died Sunday, August 11, at North Sabine Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Selma Allen, daughter,
Catherine Allen, and grandson Melvin Allen.

  She is survived by two sons, Earlton Allen of Shreveport, Donnie
Allen of Robeline, La.; four daughters, Elva Newkirk of
Shreveport, Lurline McPherson of Robeline, Carolyn Blankenship of
Pleasant Hill, and Gloria Brumley of Mansfield; 17 grandchildren;
and 15 great grandchildren; one half sister, Lillian Ott of
Logansport; numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Mrs.
Mildred Kendrick of Pleasant Hill.

  Pallbearers included Dewayne Brumley, Gregg Brumley, Ricky
Seegers, Bruce Little, Albert Little, and Ernest Little.
