All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Lawrence Clyde Allen Funeral services were held in the Green-Kleinegger Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, at 3 p.m., Monday, July 11, for Lawrence Clyde Allen, 62, who died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. M. R. Plonsky Jr. of Lafayette, after a brief illness. Burial was in Minden Cemetery. Mr. Allen was a native of Pittsburg, Kan. He was a former resident of New Orleans, and was employed by the Kansas City Southern Railroad. He had worked for the company for 45 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of New Orleans, Mount Moriah Lodge 59 F&AM, and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. M. R. Plonsky Jr. of Lafayette, Mrs. W. T. Hooper, and Miss Ann Allen of New Orleans; two sons, L. C. Allen Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M., and William J. Allen of Many; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Pearce, Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Reece Holmes of Library, Pa.; one brother, Raymond Allen of Minden; and nine grandchildren.
