Funeral services were held in the Spring Ridge Baptist Church at Pleasant Hill, at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, with the Rev. Edward Carnes officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under direction of First National Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. J. G. Chatwin of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Joseph Harrell of Natchitoches, and Mrs. L. E. Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.; one son, Ray Allen of Ajax; five brothers, Audie Allen of Pleasant Hill, Marvin Allen of Blanchard, John Allen, and J. B. Allen, both of Robeline, and O. W. Allen of Shreveport; five sisters, Mrs. Marsha McCollough of Natchitoches, Mrs. Beulah Cummins, and Mrs. Sam Priest of Shreveport, Mrs. Ellen Edwards of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Helen Rigdon of Coushatta; and nine grandchildren.
