John F. Allen

  Last rites for John F. Allen, age 81, who passed away at the
home of his daughter, Mrs. Jewel Strickland, April 8th, was laid
to rest April 9th, at Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of
Hixon Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Graham, and Rev. Bill Nolen
officiating.

  Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Jewel Strickland, Florien,
La., Mrs. Emily Ingram, Minden, La., Mrs. Audrey Boswell,
Natchitoches, La., Mrs. Bobbie Trotti, Hornbeck, La., Mrs.
Johnnie Lilas, Keithville, La.; three sons, M. L. Allen,
Shreveport, La., J. D. Allen, Natchitoches, La., J. W. Allen
Haynesville, La.; one brother, Joe Allen, Vicksburg, Miss.; 30
grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were his grandsons.
