J.) Allen, 68, died Sept. 6, 2002, at his residence in Many. He was a longtime employee of Lowrey Chevrolet. He was a veteran. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sept. 9, at Friendship Baptist Church, with interment following at Friendship Cemetery. The Rev. James "Buddy" Greer, the Rev. Steve Speer, and the Rev. Ted Salley officiated. Survivors include his widow, Barbara T. Allen of Many; sons, Gary David Allen and wife Beth, and Jeffrey Dean Allen and wife Tori, all of Many; daughter, Kim Allen Schoth and husband Mark of Robeline; four sisters, Mary Roberts of Clarksville, Patricia Stewart of Port Neches, Texas, Louise Allen of Clarksville, and Betty Davis of Fayetteville, Ark.; brother, Grady Allen of Clarksville; 12 grandchildren, Bradley Allen, Seth Allen, Jamie Allen, Aaron Allen, Jacob Schoth, Joshua Schoth, Brooke Allen, Daniel Allen, Adam Allen, Issac Allen, Caleb Schoth, and Hannah Schoth; and one great grandchild, Breanna Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Maggie Allen; and two brothers, Howard Allen, and Jack Allen. Pallbearers were Harold Veuleman, Jackie Savell, Joey Langton, Randy Veuleman, Ritchie Langton, and Jerry Alford.
