The Rev. Jerry Schmucker, pastor of First Baptist Church in Noble, where Mrs. Almon was a member, officiated. Burial was at 4 p.m., at Zwolle Cemetery. Mrs. Almon, a homemaker, and a resident of Shreveport for the past 25 years, died Sunday, August 10, 1986, at The Guest House, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Mt. Carmel, La., and was a former resident of Noble. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Thibodeaux, and Doris Owen of Shreveport; three grandchildren, Mike Thibodeaux, Lisa Acurio, and Richard Owen; one great grandchild, Michael Acurio, Jr., and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were her grandsons and nephews.
