Mr. Norman Ambrose, Jr.

  Mr. Norman Ambrose, Jr., 70, of Many, died Thursday, Aug. 17,
2000, at his residence.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 21, at
Beulah Baptist Church, with interment following at Pineville
National Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Leach, and the Rev. Steve
Spears officiated.

  Survivors include his widow, Betty Ambrose of Many; one
daughter, Sue Ambrose Manuel of New Orleans and husband
Christopher; four sons, Norman Ambrose, III of DeVille and wife
Bonnie, Tommy Wayne Ambrose of DeVille and wife Kelly, Bobby Dale
Ambrose of Colfax, and Brian Keith Ambrose of Montgomery and wife
Cindy; three sisters, Wanda Lachner of Prairie Home, Mo., Pauline
Chandler of Bonneville, Mo., and Rita Roberson of Lebo, Kan.; two
brothers, Harold Ralph Ambrose of White Rover, S. D., and Eddie
Dale Ambrose of New Bloomfield, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; four great
grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

  Pallbearers were Christopher Manuel, and Jason Norman Sharp.

  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the cancer
foundation.
