Anthony Dreyton Hoy Anthony, 84, of Many, died Friday, June 18, at 4:04 a.m., after an extended illness. Memorial services were held at the Antioch Baptist church Saturday, June 20, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Logan Skiles, and the Rev. Bryon E. Ray officiating. Interment was in the Antioch Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Zelma Anthony of Florien; nine sons, Howard, M. G., Mack, Gorden, and Robert Anthony, all of florien; Buddy Anthony of Hugh Springs, Tex., Rev. Wilton Anthony of Port Neches, Tex., Jimmy Anthony of Hall Summitt, and Charles Anthony of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Bert Blackwell, Lake Charles, and Mrs. Glenn Hopkins, Groves, Tex.; one brother, Bernice Anthony of Texarkana, and one sister, Mrs. Vernon Quarles of Shreveport; 30 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were the grandsons, Garland Anthony, Regan Anthony, David Anthony, Mack M. Anthony, Ricky Blackwell, and Billy Hopkins.
