Pearl Opal Andersen 
  
  Pearl Opal Anderson, 85, of Baton Rouge, died at 4 p.m. Friday, 
March 3, 2000 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. 
  
  She was a native of Florien. 
  
  Religious services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 5 at 
Greenoaks Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. J. Michael Arthur. 
  
  Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sallye E. and 
Glenn Gomes of Baton Rouge; one sister, Pauline Stringer of 
Florien; one brother, Ottis Arthur of Converse; three 
grandchildren, Nyssa, Jason and Michael Gomes, all of Baton 
Rouge. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, Epsie 
and Luther Allen Arthur; three sisters; and four brothers.
