Anderson, 80, life long resident of Sabine parish, died unexpectedly Saturday morning May 25, at his home near Robeline. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bessie Arthur Anderson of Robeline; four daughters, Mrs. Lea Fisher and Miss Lottie Anderson of Robeline, Mrs. Vernie Leone of Zwolle and Mrs. Luna Giffith of Houston, Tex.; one son, Virgil Anderson of Robeline; two sisters, Mrs Ine Sibley, of Many and Mrs. Loma McCall of Enox, Texas; three brothers, Travis, Ben and Willie Anderson, all of Many; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. Anderson was a Mason and a member of the Central Baptist church - being active in religious affairs as long as he was able. Funeral services were held at the Central Baptist church near Robeline Sunday, May 26, at 3 p.m. with Rev. O. S. Roberts, pastor of the Belmont Baptist church, officiating assisted by the pastor, the Rev. Strebeck and the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, pastor of the Baptist Mansfield Mission Church of Zwolle. Pallbearers were A. L. Tarver, Evie Stoker, Lum Faust, Rufus Matthew, M. N. Manasco and Oscar Stephens. Interment was in the Fort Jesup cemetery under the direction of the Hixon Funeral home of Leesville.
