Andries, 56, a longtime resident of East Texas, died at his home in the London Humble Gasoline Plant camp about 11 a.m. Monday after suffering a heart attack. An Humble employee for more than 20 years, he was East Texas District electrician for the company's natural gasoline department. A native of Many, La., he had lived at London since 1937, moving there from Conroe. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic church and the Kilgore chapter of the Knights of Columbas. Requiem Mass was held at Christ the King Catholic church, Kilgore at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Burial was in Kilgore cemetery. Andries is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Ellis of Kilgore and Miss Mary Jo Andries of New London; nine sons, Gilbert Andries, an engineering instructor of Kilgore College; Francis Andries, Longview; Bert, Paul, Richard, Julian, Ronald, Donald and Jerry Andries, all of New London; six sisters, Mrs. Gordon Cloutier, Shreveport; Miss Margrette Andries, Many, La., Miss Leonora Andries and Mrs. W. D. Postell, both of New Orleans; Mrs. Milton Hall, Monroe; and Mrs. Foster Perry, Perryville; three brothers, Will Andries, Baton Rouge, Pat Andries, Dallas, Texas; and Ambrose Andries, Fort Worth, Texas and six grandchildren.
