Anderson of Coushatta, 87, died on Friday, May 25, at Huckaby Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. He was a retired farmer, member of the Hanna Baptist Church, and a member of the Ajax Masonic Lodge. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, May 26, at the Rockett Nettles Funeral Home. The Rev. Billy Davis, and the Rev. Foster Jennings officiated. Burial was in the Beulah Cemetery near Marthaville. He was preceded in death by one sister, Beatrice Barnes; two brothers, Pat and Harvey Anderson; and one son, Bobby Anderson. Mr. Anderson is survived by his widow, Clotilde Anderson of Coushatta; three daughters, Elaine Bierden of Coushatta, JoAnn Tester of Houstassa, Florida, and Alice Young of Shreveport; three step children, Kathy Miller of Breeman, Georgia, Darlene Rachal of Coushatta, and Mickey Miller of Wyonna, Tex.; three sisters, Follie Woods of Evelyn, Loree Durr of Pleasant Hill, and Delores Canaday of Baton Rouge; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
