(Jack) Anderson, 91, died Monday, June 25, 2001, at Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital in Shreveport. Mr. Anderson was a school bus driver, Union Pacific Railroad maintenance, World War II naval shipyard welder inspector in New Orleans, retired from International Paper Co., after 31 years of surveying, and pulpwood yard superintendent. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 29, at Noble Baptist Church, with interment following at Noble Cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Price, pastor of Noble Baptist Church, officiated, and Dr. Arnold Nelson, and Bro. Charles Duncan, assisted. Survivors include two sisters, Claudia McPhearson, and Maude Strickland; four nieces; two nephews; great nephews, John Naylor, Glen Naylor, Ray Dean Russell, James Marz, Kenneth Russell, and David Russell; and a host of grand nieces and nephews. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Bruce Anderson, and Lucille Wells Anderson, and wife of 67 years, Mabel Russell Anderson. Pallbearers were Doug Gant, Calvin Jones, Charles Maxey, Glenn Naylor, James Salter, and Sherman Tatum. Honorary pallbearers were Mr. Jack's girls. Memorials may be sent to Noble Cemetery, P.O.
