Girthie Ree Anderson (Photo)

  Funeral services for Girthie Ree Anderson, 80, of Florien, were
held Thursday, Nov. 7, 1996, at 11 a.m., at Antioch Baptist
Church. Officiating was Rev. Doug Chance, and Rev. Jimmy Evans.
Interment was at Antioch Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Anderson passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, in Shreveport.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James L.
Leach; and great grandchild, Jesse Duane Glidewell.

  Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Jodie N. Anderson of
Florien; one son, Jesse Anderson and wife Joan of Shreveport; one
daughter, Sandra Corley and husband Quinton of Florien; four
grandchildren, Cabrina Glidewell and husband Renard of
Keithville, Micah Anderson of Shreveport, Cala Booker and husband
Norman III of Florien, Clay Corley and wife Bridget, also of
Florien; four great grandchildren, Jayde, and Jullian Glidewell
of Keithville, Kayden, and Keaton Booker of Florien; a host of
nieces, nephews, and friends.

  Pallbearers were M. G. Anthony, Bobby Salter, Joe Salter,
Freddie Funderburk, Jimmy Leach, Glen Anderson, Jimmy Salter,
Shelton Anderson, Charles Pennington, Mark Thompson, Donald
Corley, Ed Corley, Gerald Jordan, Dewain Strother, W. L. Dees,
Kenneth Funderburk, Reo Wright, and Henry Lee Davis.
