"Jim" Andries, 59, a business owner, died of cancer, March 29, 2002, at his home. A Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m., April 1, at St. Therese Catholic Church, with burial following at Lakewood Memorial Park. Mr. Andries was born April 21, 1942, in Shreveport. In 1946, he moved to Jackson, Miss., with his family, where he learned the trade of welding from his father. He took over Andries Inc. in 1976, and expanded the business to branches in Yazoo City, Brookhaven, and Forest, Miss. In 1993, he moved to Yazoo City to operate the local branch. As years passed, he developed the business into Andries Just Rental. He retired in 2001, to enjoy fishing, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Andries was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He loved life, and will always be remembered for his sense of humor, charisma, and charm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Andries. Survivors include daughters, Renee Maddox of Brandon, Crystal Nagle of Yazoo City, Regina Williams of Hattiesburg, and Leigh Ann Andries of Pulaski; son Luke Andries of Jackson, Miss.; sisters, Lucille Phillips of Columbus, Mary Jane Mason, Linda Walshock, and Janet Keys, all of Jackson, Miss.; brother, John Andries, and Mike Andries, both of Jackson, Miss.; and two grandchildren.
