Mr. Anderson was a retired school bus driver, and a lifelong resident of Sabine and Natchitoches parishes. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Zions Rest Methodist Church near Pleasant Hill, with Rev. Bob Lawton officiating, and Rev. E. L. McKay, and Rev. Eugene Anding assisting. Burial was in Zions Rest Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home. Pallbearers were the following nephews of the deceased, Vick Anderson, Roy Herring, Pat Anderson, Dick Maines, Woster Anderson, John Anderson, Gene Anderson, and Albert Wells. He is survived by his widow, Blanche Bardwell Anderson; two sons, J. L. of Noble, and Ellis of Zwolle; two daughters, Mrs. Fred McPhearson of Mansfield, Mrs. Raymond Strickland of Huntsville, Ala.; two stepsons, Travis Cornelius of Pasadena, Tex., Lt. Earnest Cornelius, U. S. Navy; one sister, Mrs. Rachel Maines of Marthaville; two brothers, Bob Anderson of Robeline, and Guice Anderson of Shreveport; eight grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces.
