John D. Ammons

  John D. Ammons of Many, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 7:30 p.m.,
following an extended illness. He was 49.

  Funeral services were held at the Oak Hill Baptist Church on
Friday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery,
with Rev. Don Franklin officiating.

  Mr. Ammons is survived by his widow, Mrs. Janie Ammons of Many;
two sons, Michael, and Craig Ammons, both of Many; four
daughters, Miss Dell Ammons of Many, Miss Delores Ammons of Oram,
Utah, Mrs. Debbie Copeland of Helena, Mt., and Miss Donna Ammons
of Boise, Idaho; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Ammons; two
brothers, E. C. Ammons of Baton Rouge, and Emmett Haskell Ammons
of New Orleans; and three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Mae Isgitt, and
Miss Martha Ammons, both of Many, and Mrs. Chlorine Miley of
Shreveport.
