Oree Ellis Ammons

  Mr. Oree Ellis Ammons, 84, died Monday, Feb. 11, 1985, at 1:05
p.m., at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Services for Mr. Ammons
were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Warren Meadows
Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Bro. Elsie Walker.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Effie Mae Ammons of Many; two sons,
Ellis Cedric Ammons of Baton Rouge, and Emmett Haskel Ammons of
New Orleans; three daughters, Nettie Mae Isgitt, and Martha Jean
Ammons of Many, and Florence Chlorine Miley of Shreveport; one
brother, R. D. Ammons of Colfax; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great
grandchildren. Mr. Ammons is preceded in death by a son, John
Dell Ammons.

  Pallbearers were Joe Isgitt, Larry Blackmon, David Ammons, Buddy
Walters, Glen Isgitt, Dennis Blackmon, and Fred Ammons.

  Interment was in Fenders Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home in Many.
