Ruthie Lee Arabie

  Ruthie Lee Arabie, 69, died Dec. 16, 2000, at St. Patricks in
Lake Charles.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 18, at
Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Chapel, with interment following at
Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder. The Rev. Jeff L. Phillips, and
the Rev. Jerome Hayes officiated.

  Arabie was a native of Sabine Parish, and had lived in the
DeRidder area for the past 41 years. She was a retired retail
salesperson, having worked for Ben Franklin, and retiring from
K-Mart. She was a member of Shady Grove United Pentecostal
Church.

  Survivors include one sister, Ozzia Hildebrand of Many; and
grandson, Klayton Cooley of DeRidder. Arabie was preceded in
death by her daughter, Kathy Arabie Cooley.
