Mrs. Mary Ellen Ayres

  Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Ayres, age 74, who died
Thursday, Feb. 6, at Shreveport, was conducted at Beulah Baptist
Church at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, with Rev. Coda Salter
officiating, assisted by Rev. Barney Flanagan. Interment was in
the church cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Survivors are his sons, J. L. Ayres of Zwolle, C. E. Ayres of
Haughton, Aaron Ayres of New Orleans, and Rev. R. C. Ayres of
Shreveport; daughters, Mrs. R. L. Cryer of Many, and Mrs. Louis
Cryer of Fisher; brothers, Charlie, and Calvin Bass of Many,
Jessie Bass of Shreveport; sisters, Mrs. G. W. Lovelady of
Florien, Mrs. Minnie Lovelady, and Mrs. Elva Hippler of Many, and
Mrs. J. L. Armstrong of Zwolle. There were 24 grandchildren.
