Bernice Coleman Arthur

  Mr. Bernice Coleman Arthur, 78, died at Sabine Medical Center in
Many, La., on Jan. 20, 1989.

  Services were held at Warren Meadows Chapel on Sunday, Jan. 22,
1989, at 3 p.m., with Rev. Joe Ratcliff officiating. Burial was
at Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.

  Mr. Arthur was a lifetime resident, and a member of First
Baptist Church of Many. He was the former owner of Many Insurance
Agency.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen E. Arthur; and
parents, Chester Coleman, and Ida Mae Davis Arthur.

  He is survived by two sons, Thomas Coleman Arthur of Many, and
James Robert Arthur of Houston, Tex.; two sisters, Kathleen
Arthur Maricelli of Houston and husband James Edgar Maricelli,
Chester Mae Arthur Jordan and husband John Claude Jordan of Many;
one nephew, John Mark Jordan and wife Virginia of Tatum, Tex.;
two aunts, Effie Davis Hardy of Shreveport, and Myrtle Davis
Teasley of Mansfield; one uncle, Joseph T. Davis and wife Velda
Dees Davis of Atlanta, Tex.

  Pallbearers included James Dale Davis, Herman D. Hagar, John
Claude Jordan, Gary Baxter Davis, Max Teasley, John Mark Jordan.
