Mr. John Riley Armstrong Sr.

  Funeral services for John Riley Armstrong Sr. of Metairie were held at the
Williams Blvd. Baptist Church in Kenner at noon on Saturday, Sept. 13.

  Burial was in the Garden of Memories under the direction of Jacob Schoen &
Sons Funeral Home of New Orleans.

  Mr. Armstrong, a native of Zwolle, died at 10:46 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10.
He was 56.

  He is survived by his widow, Ann Hebert Armstrong of Metairie; two sons,
John R. Armstrong Jr. and Scott Joseph Armstrong; a daughter, Amy Marie
Bairnsfather; his in-laws, Alfred and Gloria Hebert and the late Ruth
Hebert; two brothers, Doh Armstrong of Bossier City and Manuel Armstrong
of Zwolle; twelve sisters, Lucille Patton of Arkansas, Corrine Juneau and
Mable Sanchez, both of Evergreen; Jill Ann Youngblood , Charlotte Wedgeworth,
Linda Anthony and Darlene Knippers, all of Many; Hattie Chambers, Betty
Armstrong and Genevive Gordon, all of Zwolle; Mary Campbell of Deweyville,
Texas, and Nell Arterberry of Yokum, Texas; and five grandchildren, Jennifer,
Jonathan, Kenny, Bethany and Corey Armstrong.
