Armstrong Dennis Washington Armstrong, 88, died in his home in Zwolle, Friday, June 18, at 7 a.m., after a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 20, at 3 p.m., at the Aimwell Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charles Duncan, and the Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Burial was in the Aimwell Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ollie Bell Armstrong of Zwolle; 12 daughters, Nelda Jean Armstrong, Mrs. Mary Lynn Campbell, Betty Jo Armstrong, Mrs. Hattie Ruth Chambers, and Mrs. Mildred Youngblood, all of Zwolle, Mrs. Genevieve Morgan of Natchitoches, Mrs. Darline Knippers of Robeline, Mrs. Lucille Patton of Ranger, Tex., Mrs. Corrine Juneau of Evergreen, La., Mrs. Mabel Sanchez of Metairie, Mrs. Linda Fay Anthony, and Mrs. Charlotte Wedgeworth, both of Many; six sons, Pvt. Donald W. Armstrong of Memphis, Tenn. John Riley Armstrong, Metairie, Dennis W. Armstrong Jr. of Kenner, and Rufus W. Armstrong of Boutte, La.; five sisters, Mrs. Myra Baxton of Ferriday, Mrs. Myrtie Brown of Natchitoches, Mrs. Emma Springer, Hemphill, Mrs. Viola Parker, Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Cevella Chance of Cleveland, Tex.; two brothers, Jessie Armstrong, and Aubrey Armstrong, both of Zwolle; 40 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.
