Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 6, at Aimwell Baptist Church, with interment following at Aimwell Cemetery in Zwolle. The Rev. Charles Duncan officiated, and the Rev. Stephen Neesley assisted. Survivors include his mother, Ollie Bell Armstrong of Zwolle; 12 sisters, Lucille Patton of Jacksonville, Ark., Corrine Juneau of Evergreen, Mabel Sanchez of Evergreen, Jo Ann Youngblood of Many, Hattie Chamber of Zwolle, Charlotte Wedgeworth of Many, Linda Wilbanks of Florien, Darline Knippers of Robeline, Betty Gooden of Natchitoches, Genevieve Gordon of Zwolle, Mary Campbell of Deweyville, Texas, and Nelda Jean Arteberry of Natchitoches; and one brother, Donald Wayne Armstrong of Denham Springs. Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his father, D. W. Armstrong, Sr.; six brothers, Rufus Armstrong, D. W. Armstrong, Jr., Monroe Armstrong, Glenn Armstrong, R. L. Armstrong, and Billey Armstrong; and three sisters, Martha Rogers, Bessie Mae McComic, and Maxine Howard. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial be made to the National Cancer Society, or the Gideons Memorial Bible Program International. Pallbearers were Lloyd Armstrong, Mike Gooden, Dennis Morgan, Kevin Knippers, Chris Campbell, and Byron McCormic. Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Many, La.
