All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Miss Daisy Alice Armstrong Funeral services for Miss Armstrong, age 90, were held at the United Methodist Church in Many, at 1 p.m., on Monday, November 16, 1987, with Rev. Louis Coppage officiating. Burial was at Many Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Miss Armstrong's death followed a brief illness and hospitalization, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, where she died on Saturday, November 14, 1987. She was a lifelong resident of Sabine Parish, and was well known to many of the citizens of Many during the period of more that 40 years that she served as a clerk at Many Post Office. She is survived by two nieces, Ruth Holland of Port Arthur, Tex., and Lyvonne Gray of Nashville, Tenn.; three nephews, Paul Armstrong of Woodville, Tex., Steven German of Houston, Tex., and Harry L. German of Nacogdoches, Tex.; 15 grand nieces and nephews; and 13 great grand nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers were Harry L. German, Herman Gray, Bennie McNeely, Steven German, Bo Holland, and Harold Andries. Active pallbearers were Matt Tarver, Andy Tarver, Bill Andries, Mike Boydstun, Paul Armstrong, and Harry Lynn German.
