Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 30, at Aimwell Baptist Church, with interment following at Aimwell Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Franklin, and the Rev. Charles Duncan officiated. Survivors include one son, Donald Armstrong of Denham Springs; nine daughters, Nelda Arterberry and husband Ricky of Natchitoches, Mary Campbell and husband Jeff of Deweyville, Texas, Gen Gordon and husband Allen of Zwolle, Betty Gooden and husband Mike of Natchitoches, Darlene Knippers and husband Kenneth of Robeline, Linda Wilbanks and husband Bobby of Florien, Charlotte Wedgeworth of Many, Hattie Chambers of Zwolle, and JoAnn Youngblood of Many; three stepdaughters, Lucille Patton of Jacksonville, Ark., Corrine Juneau and husband Luther, and Mable Sanches, all of Bunkie; one brother, Pete Gass of Natchitoches; 28 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis "Wash" Armstrong; daughter, Marine Howard; two sons, John R. Armstrong, and Willie Armstrong; and two grandchildren.
