All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Garvis "Grace" Arrington Funeral services for Mrs. Garvis "Grace" Arrington, 93, of DeRidder, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at Westview Baptist Church in DeRidder, with the Rev. Wayne Kite, and the Rev. Glenn George officiating. Mrs. Arrington passed away Friday, Jan. 10, at Westview Manor Nursing Home in DeRidder. Burial followed in Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Mrs. Arrington was a native of Hornbeck, but was reared in Florien, and moved to DeRidder in 1945, where she lived for the rest of her life. She was a Charter Member of Westview Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School well into her eighties. She also served in the music ministry, as well as other church activities, in her many years of service to the Lord. She was a homemaker. Donations may be made to the Baptist Children's Home, or Home & State Missions Bible Society. Survivors include three sons, Mel Arrington of DeRidder, Doyle Arrington of Ragley, and Glenn Darrell Arrington of Floresville, Fla. She is also survived by two brothers, Keith Brown of Welsh, and Carl Brown of Florien; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. Labby Memorial Funeral Home, DeRidder, La.
