Arnold, 86, of Cotton Valley, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 14, in the First United Methodist Church in Cotton Valley. The Rev. Joe Windham officiated. Burial was in Cotton Valley Cemetery, under the directions of Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Minden. Mrs. Arnold, a native of Potters Station, La., died at 7:40 a.m., July 14, 1985, in Minden Medical Center, following a brief illness. She had been a resident in Cotton Valley since 1957. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Uriel Chapter No. 185. She was past district deputy grand matron. She was also secretary of the First United Methodist Church, Wesleyan Class. She is survived by one daughter, Marie A. Hooten of Cotton Valley; three sisters, Ophelia C. Caver of Homer, Grace C. Sale of Minden, and Bill C. Smith of Haynesville; one brother, R. T. Cornish of Many; two grandchildren, Larry Hooten, and LaNese H. Wilson, both of Cotton Valley; and two great grandchildren, Adrianne, and Aaron Wilson of Cotton Valley. Pallbearers were Frank Brown, Billy Dalrymple, Ralph Goldsby, Charles Jackson, Wayne Rhymes, and S. J. Hollan.
